Description
Dodge Polara survivor. This car has been sitting for at least 30-40 years. It looks like it ran when parked. Its a 318 poly with an automatic transmission and push-button shift in the dash. The engine turns over freely and all of the belts, hoses, and wires are still in place. It looks complete enough to fire right up with a weekend of tinkering but I have never tried to start it. I have only cleaned everything thoroughly right after discovering it and bringing it home. It rolls and steers well and I put OK tires on it that hold air. I had to cut the front brake drums off because they were frozen. Other than that I have not done anything to it mechanically. The parking brake even still works. There are no keys. It has a clear title that is in the process of being issued now. I should have it before the listing is over.
The floors in this car are rusty and need replaced. I have never opened the trunk and its contents are still unknown (no keys). It would be safe to assume that the trunk floor is rusty but I have not laid eyes on it.
The body is incredibly nice. The body panels are super straight and not rusty anywhere other than common chips in the paint. The right front fender has been replaced at one time but it is hard to say why. There is not damage visible behind the fender anywhere that I can see. The chrome is also very nice. The car may have been repainted the original color one time, maybe back in the 60's or 70's, but it is very hard to tell. There are no signs of any sort of repair (either rust or dent) anywhere.
It also comes with an extra pair for front bucket seats from a 1964 Polara 500 and their matching back seat. These extra seats are red and look OK but will obviously need restored.
This is such a neat, original, unmolested car. Its a great candidate for a little mechanical work and being enjoyed and driven just like it is.
I am representing this car to the best of my ability. Its history is not fully known. It is being sold AS-IS where is, but I am happy to help load onto a transport that the buyer may contract.
