A few paint scratches. Needs a cleaning and polishing. The spring on One coupler has been closed for too long and now does not open when pulled, it might come back if left for the spring to de-compress itself? e Sliding Door Box Car (BLT 1-76) Show minor signs of prior loving use. Could  use a light cleaning & polishing. One coupler spring may need replacing from being compressed for years, but might comeback to open? Lionel 6-9855 Swift and Company Billboard Reefer Car w/Box Shows signs of minor prior loving use. Could use a light cleaning & polishing. Please study the PIcs. Sold as-is Box is in terrible condition. They all are in usable condition. Some are slightly weathered (oxidized.) They need cleaning and polishing. sold as-is Looks like it was never used (the wires do not have the insulation removed. ) The box had a little water damaged.  Battery not included. Made of metal and is very sturdy, We tested it and all the colored signal lights work. Has some layout paint on the base.  May need some  slight straightening.  Please study the Pics. LIONEL 6-2145 (145) ILLUMINATED OPERATING AUTOMATIC GATEMAN WITH O/B,  WORKS.
This item still works and even the light lights-up.  It operates such that when the train passes by, the gateman comes out waving his arm and the attached lantern (illuminated from the light in the shanty); and when the train passes he goes back into his house. Very nice animated Train Accessory Piece.  It is in GREAT condition for its age, but not perfect as it does show some very minor signs of loving use.  Comes with No. 153 C track activating piece, connecting wires, instructions and well worn, but complete box. This is in the famous O / O-27 gauge series of trains and will work with all compatible trains made by MTH, Marx, Williams, American Flyer, Weaver, K-line, Atlas and similar size and scale trains and of course  S scale trains and  G Gauge LGB Garden Railway and Standard Gauge Trains.
